Glacial Acrylic Acid (AA)

Acrylic acid is a clear, colorless liquid with a distinctive acrid odor. It is miscible with water, alcohols, and ethers. Acrylic acid undergoes typical carboxylic acid reactions as well as reactions involving the double bond, similar to those of acrylate esters. It is commonly used in polymer preparation and as a chemical intermediate. Acrylate esters, both mono- and multifunctional, are typically derived from acrylic acid.
